Scott Reid

Scott got his start in the Hospitality industry working as a night auditor in college more than 25 years ago. His passion for Hospitality came from a conversation he had with his dad many years ago when he was in high school. “Dad simply told me as I was looking for a career path, that I had a heart to serve, and that I should consider a degree in Hospitality and Business. From that point forward, I knew my path.”

In 1994, Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (BSBA) in hospitality and tourism management from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He considers his biggest professional accomplishment to be the hiring and development of future leaders.

Scott has had the opportunity to serve with several of the top hotel management companies in the country in positions ranging from General Manager, HR & Training, to Regional and VP of Operations roles. Scott was initially with LBA from 2007 to 2015 and returned in 2022 as VP of Operations Support where he oversaw the Regional Engineering team, Corporate F&B as well as the Task Force Operations team. In 2023, he assumed the role of VP of Operations. For his success, Scott credits his faith, family and friends that have provided unwavering support throughout is career.

An adventurer at heart, Scott has visited all 50 states and loves traveling with his family, visiting local breweries and listening to live music. You also might find him hiking with his dog Skye, who also makes frequent office visits! Scott is an avid sports fan so you might find him attending a Carolina Panthers or App State football game in the fall. Go Apps!
