Mike Oliver, SHRM

Mike Oliver brings both an operations and human resources perspective to his role as Senior Human Resources Manager at LBA Hospitality. With previous leadership experience as a Regional Director of Operations and Director of Human Resources in the hospitality industry, he understands workforce decisions from both the people and operational sides of the business.

Since joining LBA in January 2024, Mike has focused on the full associate lifecycle and strengthening the HR practices that help our hotels and teams thrive. He is especially passionate about engaging with and coaching team members and takes pride in being someone associates can trust to take their questions and concerns seriously. His approach to HR is reflected in one of his favorite guiding principles: “Be excellent to each other.”

Mike joined LBA when the company assumed management of BPR Properties, where he had spent the previous 10 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Western Governors University and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

Outside of work, Mike enjoys running and hiking, and – though it doesn’t come up quite as often in HR – is also known for his stellar whistling skills.
