LBA C.A.R.E.S. Packs 78 Backpacks for Dothan Students

LBA Hospitality’s corporate team and associates from our Dothan-area hotels recently came together through LBA C.A.R.E.S. to support the Backpack Buddies Program, an initiative helping provide weekend meals to local children experiencing food insecurity.

Working alongside Catholic Social Services of Dothan and the Wiregrass United Way, associates collected food, packed backpacks and ultimately donated 78 backpacks filled with meals and snacks for local students. The team also contributed a $250 donation and three five-gallon buckets of laundry detergent to support an upcoming Catholic Social Services program.

The effort brought together associates from LBA’s corporate office, Hilton Garden Inn Dothan and Residence Inn Dothan, exceeding the team’s original goal of filling 52 backpacks.

Through LBA C.A.R.E.S. – Caring Associates Ready and Empowered to Serve – our teams look for meaningful ways to support the communities we call home. This project was one more example of what can happen when our associates work together to meet a need right in their own community.
