Melanie Miller joined the LBA team in March of 2024, stepping into the Regional Director of Sales role. Her primary responsibilities involve enhancing the sales focus on hotels in her region located in central and western North Carolina. Melanie spearheads recruitment efforts, devises strategic sales approaches, and oversees training programs to optimize sales performance. Her experience with both Hilton and Marriott will have a significant impact on the properties she supports.

After graduating with a degree in Business Studies in 2011, Melanie began her career at the Courtyard by Marriott Lancaster, Pennsylvania, rapidly ascending the ranks in Sales and Operations and making significant contributions to opening a new Marriott property. Following her tenure there, Melanie assumed the role of Director of Sales at Embassy Suites in Memphis, Tennessee. At this Hilton-managed hotel, she gained invaluable experience in detail-oriented work and developed strong relationships with corporate contacts. Noteworthy accolades include being named 2018 Manager of the Year – Small Property by Tennessee Tourism Stars of the Industry.

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys all things Disney, spending time with her dogs, and cooking. Her recent personal achievements of shedding over 100 lbs., adopting a pescatarian diet, and incorporating running into her lifestyle underscore her dedication to self-improvement.

Melanie’s professional ethos is deeply influenced by her mentor, Brooke Atkins, General Manager at Hampton Inn & Suites – Beale Street, Memphis, whose dedication to hospitality and lifelong learning has left a lasting impact. Guided by her favorite quote from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it,” Melanie values being present in both work and life.
