Janel Sheppard

Janel Sheppard’s lifelong career in hospitality has been shaped by the work ethic and compassionate sensibilities modeled by her mother from an early age, and by her grandfather’s experiences working as a hotelier in the 1970s. As LBA Hospitality’s Corporate Revenue Manager, Janel exemplifies a passion for servant leadership through her ability to foster strong customer and employee engagement.

Janel began working in hospitality immediately following high school, initially managing the sales and catering program for a single property. Throughout her 31-year career, she has gained experience serving in positions ranging from operations and sales to general and regional manager roles. Her career-oriented work-ethic and professional versatility gave her the opportunity to work in operations for every select service Marriott branded hotel. Since 2010 Janel served as Director of Revenue Management for 3H Group, joining LBA in 2021 during the 3H Group alliance.

Today, Janel leverages her extensive revenue management expertise to help her region’s hotels capture greater market share and execute strategic revenue management projects. She also leans into her three decades of industry experience to strengthen relationships between frontline teams and property management groups. Highlights of Janel’s hospitality career include winning Marriott’s General Manager of the Year award and earning recognition by CityScope Magazine as one of Chattanooga’s Top 30 Most Prominent Business Leaders.

In her free time, Janel enjoys traveling, creating fun projects with her Circuit, embarking on adventures with her two daughters and cheering them on during their sporting events. She resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her two daughters and Labradoodle, Bentley.
