CANDICE M SEXTON

Candice Sexton joined the LBA team in January 2026 as Human Resources Manager. She partners with property leadership to provide HR guidance across employee relations, compliance, performance management, and workplace culture.

Candice brings 28 years of investigative experience spanning forensic medicolegal, workers’ compensation, and liability investigations, along with seven years in Human Resources. Previously, she advanced to Director of Investigations at the largest forensic medical center in Tennessee. Most recently, Candice served as Director of Human Resources for a small city in Middle Tennessee, where she led employee relations, policy administration, and workplace investigations while supporting organizational operations and compliance.

Her credentials include the Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) certification. She has been recognized with both a Community Service Award from the Metro Nashville Police Department and an Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement from the Department of Justice, Office of the United States Attorney General, Middle Tennessee Office.

Although she did not pursue a traditional college education, Candice progressed through determination and hands-on experience into senior leadership roles. Inspired by Sandra Day O’Connor’s fairness and independent thinking, she leads with balance and integrity. Her focus remains on steady leadership, practical solutions, and support for teams navigating complex situations.

Outside of work, Candice enjoys antiquing, hiking, and exploring small towns and historic architecture. She values time with family and her four German Shepherds and lives by the words, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”
