The Check-In with LBA – Dana Moreau
As LBA Hospitality’s first Regional Vice President of Operations, Dana Moreau helps support alignment, consistency and performance across a portfolio of hotels. In addition to overseeing regional operations, Dana leads LBA’s Task Force Team and supports key initiatives including GM onboarding, property transitions and the LBA Scorecard.
In this edition of The Check-In, Dana shares how LBA supports hotel teams through change, what owners can expect from a management partnership, and how associates can grow into leadership.
DANA: I oversee a portfolio of properties while focusing on alignment, consistency, and performance across the region. I also lead our Task Force Team and support key initiatives such as GM onboarding, property transitions, and the LBA Scorecard. Having worked across multiple roles, from property-level operations to General Manager, I strive to bring a well-rounded perspective that strengthens support for both our hotel teams and ownership groups.
Q: When LBA takes over a property, the hotel team is often experiencing a great deal of change. How do you help associates feel supported during that transition?
DANA: Transitions can be challenging, so I focus on being present, transparent, and supportive. Through my work leading transitions and the Task Force Team, I prioritize clear communication, active listening, and creating a sense of stability for associates. We work to recognize the strengths of the existing team while providing tools, training, and structure to help them succeed.
Q: Many owners have options when selecting a management company. What do you believe sets LBA apart as a partner?
DANA: Our culture. Our people-first mindset paired with a strong culture of accountability sets LBA apart. We prioritize building meaningful relationships and creating an environment where associates feel supported, valued, and empowered to take ownership of their roles. Above all, we foster genuine partnerships with both our owners and associates, grounded in trust, transparency, accountability, and long-term success.
Q: What advice would you give to an associate who hopes to follow a similar path into leadership one day?
DANA: Stay open to learning every aspect of the business and seek opportunities to cross-train in different departments. My own journey began as a restaurant hostess and evolved across multiple departments, brands, and roles, which gave me a strong operational foundation. I would encourage associates to stay curious, build strong relationships, set clear goals, and be open to feedback. Constructive feedback is an opportunity to learn, grow, and continue improving as a leader.
