Ocean Seven, the signature restaurant at The Hiatus Hotel in Clearwater Beach, has earned the 2025 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence—recognizing its thoughtful, coastal-inspired wine program and well-balanced selections that elevate the dining experience.
Blending Caribbean influences with Florida’s coastal cuisine, Ocean Seven is known for its refined-yet-relaxed atmosphere, offering a wine list of 228 bottles from both Old and New World regions. The list was designed to complement the restaurant’s menu with versatile, food-friendly wines—from crisp whites to bold reds.
“We created a wine list that’s approachable and memorable,” says General Manager Anthony Hughes. “Whether you’re in the mood for something light after a day on the beach or something bold to pair with a special entrée, there’s something here for everyone.”
This award marks a milestone in the restaurant’s first year and reflects the team’s commitment to creating more than just a hotel restaurant. “Our goal was to build a true local gem—somewhere guests return to for life’s special moments,” Hughes adds.
